ESSENTIAL CAMBODIA (6DAYS/5NIGHTS)
The trail from Siem Riep to Phnom Penh blend the local life vision with the nature spectacular in a very own way. The elegant touch to the heritage of Angkor and vibrant city of Phnom Penh features a beautiful experience in the realm of Khmer people.
 Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Siem Reap – Arrival – Angkor Wat (N/A)

Upon arrival, we will be transferred by local guide to hotel for check in. Siem Reap orientation, we walk along the Siem Reap Riverside, and visit the Fruit-bat in front of the Residence of King. In the late afternoon, we drive to visit the biggest religious temple in the world - the magnificent Angkor Wat. Built by Suryavarman II in the early 12th century, Angkor Wat is considered a masterpiece of Khmer architecture until sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Ta Prohm – Angkor Thom (B/../..)

In the early morning, we enjoy the Tuk Tuk to the jungle-covered temple of Ta Phrom and come back to hotel for breakfast at 07:30. One hour later, we begin the temple exploration today at Angkor Thom City by west gate. From the enigmatic faces of Bayon temple to the intricate bas reliefs of the Terrace of the Elephants, Angkor Thom is filled with fabulous monuments. Lunch will be served at local restaurant on your own account. After lunch, we drive to Banteay Srei. It is also one of the most beautiful temples. Built in 967 AD by Jayavarman V's guru, it showcases the most exquisite, deep and complex carvings in all Khmer architecture, and Preah Khan meaning “Holy Sword”. Preah Khan is one of the largest temple compounds in Angkor and is defended by four concentric walls. The main shrine and its adjoining buildings are richly decorated with Buddhist motifs and scenes from Hindu epics. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Khmer Village – Beng Mealea – Siem Reap (B/L/..)

Today, we head out to one Khmer Village. Your chance to really see what real life is like in Cambodia Village. We will spend time to help a poor village family go about their daily life. This scenic drive takes you through local countryside providing some great photo opportunities. For a few hours, you will have rare chance to see inside the life of Cambodian Villagers. You may be rice planting, harvesting, roof making or banana harvesting - life revolves around the seasons. It will vary depending on when you visit. Lunch box will be provided in one house of the villagers. After that, we driver further to Beng Mealea temple and explore the long abandoned temple (11th century), strangled by the jungle. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day4: Siem Reap – Floating Village – Phnom Penh (B/../..)

After enjoy your breakfast at hotel, you will take a break from visiting temples and enjoy a boat ride, in a traditional wooden boat, on the Tonle Sap. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a “floating village”. Boats have been converted to look like houses and the “village” move from place to place following water levels. We continue to one of the city’s lively open markets, Psar Chass, all called the “Old Market”, where you can know more about the local life! Transfer out for departure to Phnom Penh by flight, we will meet and transfers to hotel for check in. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 5: Phnom Penh – City Tour (B/../..)

We will have breakfast at hotel. The capital city of Phnom Penh was once considered the loveliest city of Indochina. Despite its recent turbulent history, it still maintains considerable charm. A city tour acquaints us with some major sights of Phnom Penh. We will visit the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ of Choeung Ek are not to be missed. A visit to these sights provides a deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge. In the afternoon, we will enjoy the Cyclo Ride to visit Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. The northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred one in the country and The National Museum. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 6: Phnom Penh – Departure (B/../..)

After breakfast, you will be free on your own until transfer to airport for departure.
