ETHENIC MINORITY-MAI CHAU FULL DAY TRIP |

| White Thai ethnic minority: The White Thai have occupied Mai Chau valley for several hundred years, members of the large Thai-Tay language group scattered throughout Southeast Asia. Most Mai Chau village residents are from the White Tai ethnic group and live in stilt houses. Beneath the stilt houses, families keep their livestock and their looms.
Traditional house on stilt : As well as being somewhere to eat, entertain and sleep, a stilt house is where a family worships its ancestors and works at tasks like weaving and embroidery. The most important room is the kitchen, which is usually set in the center of the house and serves as a meeting place where the family gathers at the end of the day. Stilt houses are made from wood, bamboo, cane, or rattan. A traditional stilt house typically has an area for drying rice, set one or two steps below the main level. The area under the house is either unused or used as a pen for livestock. |

AM : Pick you up at 8.00am at hotel in Hanoi, then depart for Hoa Binh city towards to the North west of Hanoi, it takes about 2,5 hours to get to Mai Chau(145 km). This is a beautiful valley which is the homeland of the Thai people, one of the largest ethnic minorities group in Vietnam.
The trip is going though the green rice paddies, spectacular scenery of
limestone mountain range in the North West of Vietnam. On arrivaln
enjoy traditional Vietnamese welcome drink known as green tea. Then
enjoy lunch with local people at the traditional house on stilt of Thai. This is the best time to learn their culture.
PM : Start to do easy trek around the Pomcoong village and Lac village to discover the Thai ethnic minorities.
An interesting walking tour around the village will give you
unforgettable memory on the trip especially when you stop at village
school. Return to Hanoi at around 5 pm, thanks for joining us and we
