Co Loa relic will be the

Ministry of Construction has submitted the General Plan of preservation, restoration and promotion the values of Co Loa citadel relic to the Prime Minister for approval.

Accordingly, the scope of the planning will include Co Loa urban area and its surroundings such as the regions of ​​Co Loa, Tu Duc, Viet Hung, Uy No, Dong Anh district, Hanoi city with a total of about 860ha. The goal of the plan is to preserve, restore, aiming to establish and promote the urban area of Co Loa as the "Park of Historic - Ecology - Humanity" at the national level. The planning tasks mentioned three main contents. The first task is to zone the urban area of Co Loa citadel. Accordingly, the plan will propose solutions to preserve the heritage architecture including the historical monuments and cultural, natural landscapes with values on the basis of historical arguments, science and reality.

The relics of the Co Loa citadel includes 3 wall-layers (the Citadel, the Middle and the Outer), gates, communal houses, temples, guest houses, shrines and other remains identified categories, protection boundary.

Besides the solutions of conservation and embellishment the landscape areas suitable for honor, preventing destructibility, there need to be solutions for the monuments transgressions. Specially, the plan must also propose solutions to organize the space for landscape areas such as natural recovery, renovation and new water system in the ruins, ensuring system of moats, the establishment of ecological zones, green park , gardens associated with residential areas and monuments..

After the approval, the project of the master plan will be done in 12 months.
