Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province has approved the master project to develop Con Dao till 2020 with vision to 2030. Accordingly, the target set within 10 to 20 years, Con Dao will be an urban heritage - tourism at national and international level.
Mr. Bui Van Binh, Chairman of Con Dao district, said that the priority for the development of eco-tourism, luxury resorts, cultural and historical tourism and other forms of modern entertainment services must be done simultaneously with the development of Con Dao for its outpost position, contribute actively in the process of the opening, integrate into the international economy, ensure the national security and defense. As planned, Con Dao will be invested in construction and development of the entire rising part and the surrounding water areas. The four areas: Con Dao center, Dam station, Co Ong and other islands will form the urban areas with rational population. In particular, Con Dao town will be the center of urban heritage - tourism in the district with administrative functions, culture, education, health and services.
Mr. Tran Minh Sanh, Chairman of the province, said that the plann of Con Dao has evaluated synchronously the historical values, the art of urban planning, landscape and architecture. At the same time, the project will be the basis to establish the zoning map of the province, renovation and restoration of important monuments of architecture, building steles introducing historical events taken place on Con Dao ..
To achieve the goal of the project, Con Dao district has built multiple solutions to catch opportunities such as investors will enjoy the highest incentives to invest in Con Dao; the investment projects into Con Dao are exempt from import duties and the value added tax rate of 0% for the cost of capital construction investment. In addition, investors in Con Dao also enjoy a preferential of land-use fees and other investment promotions.
