Bat Trang Village Festival
Time: From the 14th to the 16th day of the second lunar month.
Place: Bat Trang Communal House, Bat Trang Commune, Gia Lam District, Hanoi.
Objects of worship: Han Cao To and Lu Hau, Cai O Minh Chinh Tu Royal Highest, top-ranking general Phan, Ho Quoc Genie, Bach Ma Genie.
Characteristics: Water procession, ancestral tablet washing, contest of composing ca tru song to sing on the worshipping ceremony.
Bat Trang Village is famous for pottery. The village is located near the bank of the river, includes sacred communal house, pagoda, temple, shrine. The village festival involves water procession, ancestral tablet washing, a procession of ancestral tablet to the communal house to worship. The offering to the village's tutelary god is a barbecued young fat buffalo. They put the whole buffalo on the large table with six big feasts and four trays of steamed glutinous rice. After worshipping, the offerings are shared out for every family.
Madam Thu Bon Festival
Time: From the 10th to the 12th day of the second lunar month.
Place: Duy Tan Commune, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province.
Objects of worship: Madam Thu Bon (the Cham).
Characteristics: Boat racing, a procession of palanquin.
Phu Ninh Buffalo Fighting Festival
Time: 12st day of the second lunar month.
Place: Phu Ninh Commune, Phu Ninh District, Phu Tho Province.
Objects of worship: Hung King and his generals, the village's tutelary god.
Characteristics: Buffalo fighting performance to commemorate Hung King. According to the old tale, Hung King went for hunting to pass this area, he already killed two tigers that were fighting.
Cuong Temple Festival
Time: The 15th day of the second lunar month.
Place: Dien An Commune, Dien Chau District, Nghe An Province.
Objects of worship: King Thuc An Duong Vuong.
Characteristics: Palanquin procession, swinging, fireworks burning.
The ceremony of placarding at the temple, a procession of God's palanquin from Cuong Temple to Cao Ai Communal House for King Thuc enjoys the festival, then returns to the temple. From other neighbouring communal houses, also having processions of the village's tutelary god to Cuong Temple to attend the festival.
Traditional games: swinging, wrestling, cock fighting, human chess, contests of volleyball, badminton, mountain climbing. In the evening, ca tru, tuong, cheo singing, fireworks burning.
