Quan Am Festival
Time: From the 18th to the 20th day of the second lunar month, the main festival day is on the 19th day of the second lunar month.
Place: Avalokitesvara Pagoda, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City.
Objects of worship: Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.
Characteristics: The procession of the statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisttava, floating lamps on the river and other philanthropic activities.
Tet Han Thuc (Cold goods Tet)
Time: 3rd day of the third lunar month.
Place: Almost the regions of the Viet.
Characteristics: Offering glutinous rice flour cakes stuffed with plum of brown sugar (banh troi), glutinous rice flour cakes stuffed with green bean paste (banh chay) to worship ancestors, an occasion for people to visit and tidy the burial graves of relatives, having fun in spring.
Thay Pagoda Festival
Time: From the 5th to the 7th day of the third lunar month, main festival day on the 7th day of the third lunar month.
Place: Thay Pagoda (Thien Phuc tu), Sai Son Commune, Quoc Oai District, Ha Tay Province.
Objects of worship: Buddhist monk Tu Dao Hanh - founding father of the water puppetry in Vietnam.
Characteristics: The procession of the worshipping tablet, water puppetry and so on.
Bach Dang Festival
Time: 9th day of the fourth lunar month.
Place: Festival center is at Tran Hung Dao Temple - Vua Ba Shrine and other temples and communal houses in Yen Hung District, Quang Ninh Province:
- Yen Giang Communal House (Yen Giang Commune)
- Trung Ban Communal House (Lien Hoa Commune)
- Trung Coc Temple (Nam Hoa Commune)
- Dien Cong Communal House (Dien Cong Commune)
Objects of worship: Tran Hung Dao.
Characteristics: Bach Dang traditional swimming festival.
Hung Temple Festival
Time: The 8th to the 11th day of the third lunar month, main festival day on the 10th day of the third lunar month.
Place: Nghia Linh Mountain, Hy Cuong Commune, Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province.
Objects of worship: Kings Hung.
Characteristics: This is the ancestors' death anniversary of the whole nation. At the same time with incense-offering ceremony at Hung Temple in Phu Tho Province, sacrifice-offering ceremonies at Hung Temple in Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and other provinces are aslo celebrated.
Legend: 18 generations of Kings Hung established Van Lang State, the predecessor of the present - day Vietnam.
Main activities:
- The procession of 3 local communes from the communal houses to the foot of the mountain.
- The incense offering ceremony.
- Xoan singing, bronze drum dancing
Truong Yen Festival
Time: From the 9th to the 11th day of the third lunar month, the main festival day is on the 10th day of the third lunar month.
Objects of worship: King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh.
Place: Truong Yen Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province.
Characteristics: The procession of water, Chinese character forming.
