As planned, in May 2012, there will have two other flights from Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk (Russia) on the Boeing 767 aircrafts with capacity of 300 passengers. In the initial flights, in addition to normal travellers to Danang, Hoi An, Nha Trang, there will have been delegations representing 60 Russian travel agents and social media to survey the tourism potential of Danang as well as the center of Vietnam's.
In Danang, tourists will visit the Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountains), Son Tra peninsula, the Museum of Military Region 5, the house on stilts of Ho Chi Minh, shopping, relax in hotels and such luxury resorts as the Furama, Vinpearl Luxury, Hyatt Regency, Mercure, Danang Riverside, Truong Son Tung, Varna..
Featured with tourists often taking the long tours (from 10 to 15 days) for relaxing in the sea with relatively high spending, Russia is considered a key market for exploitation of Danang and Central provinces with advantage of the sea.
Mr. Mikhail Simonov, the General Director of Anh Duong Co.Ltd., said: "From the beginning of this year, there have been 40,000 Russian visitors from Siberia and the Far East to the city of Nha Trang, Phan Thiet. Now, we extend the exploitation to Danang, Hue, Hoi An giving more choices to travelers. At the end of the first flight series, the airline will have a new plan, depending on the tourist season and the weather in Russia as well as in Vietnam."
According to the Danang Culture, Sport and Tourism Department, this is the first time Russian tourists to Danang city in large numbers, concentrated by air. The travel agents should prepare facilities, enhance security and order, environmental sanitation, train staffs on communication in Russian to meet the needs of visitors. At the same time, the Department also works with the University of Danang Foreign Languages ​​for long-term plans on Russian education. The secure team will enhance patrols to ensure the security and order in Danang city.
