The projects of building the two wharves Thien Cung and Dau Go will be completed in late August 2012

Until now, the projects of upgrading and expansding the two wharves Thien Cung and Dau Go have reached 75% of the progress, the units are overcoming the problem of construction on the sea, taking efforts to have them done in time to improve service quality, to meet the increasing traffic of cruise passengers.
The projects have been started since 2010 with a total investment of 53,477,000,000 VND, deducted from the capital for embellishment and renovation of Halong Bay.
Thien Cung wharf
The projects have been executed by Thang Long Machine & Construction JSC (Hanoi) with the completion of the Thien Cung wharf at a scale of 35m length, 5m width, 5m on water, 2.2m under water to meet 10 ships docking at the same time. The new Dau Go wharf with 120m long, 7m wide, 5m on water, 2.2m under water. Thien Cung wharf has basically completed and put into operation a portion of 35m length x 5m width.

Currently, the units have built 2/3 Dau Go wharf and will have completed in late August 2012

Nguyen Pham Ha, the captain on the construction site said: Due to the construction on the sea, the progress depends on the tides. There is no place for raw materials, geology of the construction location is complicated. Facing these difficulties, the staffs and workers on site are always united for the progress and construction quality. The team has made improvements in the construction in accordance to the actual situations.
